Ear Cleaning Tips

Tip #1: If you already use Q-Tips, then make sure you hold the Q-Tip one inch from the cotton tip that you’re inserting into your ear. This would ensure that you do not ever commit accidental contact with your ear drum, which can result in injury. The wax glands which produce the earwax are near the outer edge of the canal, hence this depth should be safe and sufficient. Use a rotating motion, swabbing every side of the canal. Don’t make use of a plungering motion, which ultimately pushes as well as compacts the wax deeper in your canal. (FYI: Start here probably the cleanest ears we come across use Q Tips daily, but only when done safely & properly.)

Strategy #1:

Tip #2: In case you have a hand-held showerhead with a rotating squirt pattern dial, set the dial to most direct/condensed squirt design. While going for a warm shower, take out the handheld part of your showerhead and irrigate each ear for 1-2 minutes, 1-2 times a week. The warm water will liquefy the wax and expel every other unwanted debris from the ears of yours. Handheld shower heads can be purchased at most retail or home improvement stores.

Point #2:

Tip #3: Use hydrogen peroxide or pure virgin organic olive oil to first loosen a lot of older wax from the canal of yours. Allow the fluid to stand in the ear of yours for 5-10 minutes with your mind tipped to the side area, after which flush with warm water from a bulb syringe or using the technique shown in Tip #2 above.
